Those species followed by WO? are interpolations/extrapolations by myself, with no confirmed reports as yet. There are probably some erroneous inclusions and probably many omissions. The page will be updated if/when new information and images arrive.

Most, if not all, of Misiones Department is part of the Gran Chaco region, which includes wide plains, swamps, dry or seasonally flooded savannas, marshes, salt flats and a great variety of dry forests and scrublands. I do not expect there will be great Saturniidae diversity in Misiones Department. Those species which feed on mimosa, locust, acacia and shrubs are most likely to be found in Central Department.

If there are dry oak forests, then some of the Eacles and other oak feeders might be present.
