Faviola Montes and Juan Chavez

Faviola Montes and Juan Chavez, from Huanuco, Peru, recently sent me images of collected Saturniidae from Huanuco, at elevation of 2700m.

Faviola photographed some very interesting Leucanella contempta males and females, some Automeris chacona chacona males and a beautiful Molippa bertrandi male.

Juan sent me the electronic images for identification purposes, and Bernhard Wenczel helped with identifications.

Faviola and Juan are interested in collecting additional specimens and in selling what they collect and rear.

Livestock may also become available in the future.

The Leucanella specimens are especially interesting for the abundance of females, the intersection of the transverse line with the cell markings, and an unusual aberration.

They are not limiting their collecting to Saturniidae. Some images are posted below.
