Gary Saunders

Gary Saunders of the United Kingdom has begun (December 2009) to send me some beautiful images of Saturniidae from his rearings.

Gary has been rearing for over thirty years and he has sent larval images (all instars) of Cricula elaezia, (more likely C. cameronensis), first time depicted on WLSS as well as foodplants.

Gary also sends this beautiful image of Actias rhodopneuma.

Regarding the Cricula larvae, eggs were sent to Gary as C. elaezia, but the emergent moths from the rearing appear to be C. cameronensis.

Gary pointed this out to me when the first female emerged.
