"Jay’s insect photographs are published in an Audubon field guide, a Robert Bateman Naturalist’s Diary, and most recently, in The Butterflies of Canada. The latter, a comprehensive book including every species of butterfly recorded in Canada, has ten of Jay’s photographs including a cover photo. This cover photo of a Bog Copper also was issued as a poster to help promote the book and appeared on the cover of the publisher’s catalogue (University of Toronto Press).

"Jay is finally emancipating some of his photographs from the depths of his filing cabinet to share with anyone who might appreciate them. This is the first in hopefully a series of galleries that will help expose the beauty of creation through Jay’s cameras."
