The Weiwei Zhang Collection: China
Actias chapae male, China, copyright protected, courtesy
of Weiwei Zhang.
Weiwei writes, November 8, 2007: "I just collected some species
(including male and female) and eggs of Actias chapae. I hope I
can communicate with the people who want to get them, through
sales or exchanges for other species and insect books. I believe that
many friends are eager to get the very valuable silkmoths. Certainly,
I have other Chinese silkmoths for sale or exchange. Now I have
more than 100 thousand insect species from each part of China, and
hope to communicate and cooperate with people from
everywhere."
"I also can provide you some of my silkmoth photos continuously."

Images of the following Saturniidae from China
have recently been sent to me by Weiwei Zhang. This section will now
feature images of live moths and will expand over time as Weiwei shares
images, foodplants, locations and flight seasons.
