Equipment Tips

I notice a lot of people having problems with cages etc. Insect Lore's hanging net cage works great in the field and has a zipper for access. The cinch top also opens. Eggs can be laid on the nylon; they brush right off and can't be lost inside. Then pour out. Price is $15.95.

Best for breeding, etc., is a new Black Nylon material cage that is sold at Petsmart. It comes in sizes like 20 x 16 rectangle. I have the 29x29x48 for $119.

They are very durable and collapsible. It has a zipper around the complete face. It also has a PVC pipe frame inside. Very light and eggs come off fine. Plenty big for breeding, lasts forever. It is a cameleon cage for lizards etc. It is black, which also keeps moths calmer.
