Russell has been doing much travelling and often, kindly sends images of habitat and moths.

Tetradymia axillaris, which also goes by the common names catclaw horsebrush, longspine horsebrush, cotton thorn, is one of the preferred hosts of Hemileuca burnsi larvae.

Russell has found a suitable area and sets up his portable, collapsable calling cage with female inside.

It is not long before the day-flying males begin to appear.
