Inserting Body Pin

Spreading Butterflies: Step 2. Insert the body pin through the middle of the thorax from the top down. Use forceps if necessary. Make sure the pin is at right angles with the horizontal axis and the vertical axis of the butterfly body. Otherwise you will have a crooked final product that does not conform to museum standards. |
